Devan Clark

Devan is the newest member of LEAS. His primary roles as Vice President of Aircraft Sales are business development and sales and marketing coordination. He specializes in creating a friction free environment for clients, customers, and service providers. He interacts with clients and various business aviation professionals daily and works directly with the company’s senior management to ensure successful management of multiple projects.

Prior to joining LEAS, Devan put his leadership skills to use as a full service broker for Charleston Aviation Partners, based in Charleston, South Carolina; facilitating acquisitions and sales of business aircraft both fixed and rotary wing. He is experienced in performing a wide range of functions including but not limited to self-generating leads for off-market aircraft, developing off-market aircraft into exclusive listings, compiling market data for existing and potential clients including new entrants to business jet ownership. Additionally, working with creating content aimed at current aircraft owners and internally developing and optimizing aircraft advertising and marketing campaigns.

A former United States Navy Midshipman, he was an integral member of a wide range of teams and associations: National Society of Black Engineers (NSBE), Society of Hispanic Professional Engineers (SHPE), Varsity Football, and Varsity Track & Field to name a few. Despite a rigorous Weapons Systems Engineering workload, Devan focused his professional development on pursuing a career in the special warfare community working towards earning a very competitive slot at the Basic Underwater Demolition/SEAL program. After leaving the armed services, Devan completed his undergraduate education at Hampton University graduating at the top of his class with a Bachelor’s of Science degree in Electrical Engineering Magna Cum Laude and earning departmental honors.

Devan began his professional engineering career with the United States Patent and Trademark Office as a Patent Examiner where he was on the cutting edge of technological innovation. He then moved into working as a field engineer for Xerox before diversifying his professional growth by exploring the marketing and sales field.

Currently awaiting his final certification, Devan has recently completed the course requirements to earn his designation as an accredited senior aircraft appraiser with the American Society of Appraisers (ASA).

Devan’s considerable experience in leadership, management, and technical applications provide him the ability to communicate and translate between technical experts and end users provides for a seamless transaction experience. His ability to leverage relationships inside and outside of the aviation industry combined with his overall work ethic make him a vital member of the Leading Edge team.

When he’s not in the office, Devan enjoys relaxing at home in Charleston with his menagerie of animals and riding his motorcycle to either softball practice or the beach to work on his tan.
