The Road to 1,000 is Complete!

Our roots at Leading Edge Aviation Solutions have been deeply entrenched in Business Aviation for as long as the industry has existed. Many of you have played an instrumental role in our success and we are proud to celebrate this significant milestone with you. 

Chairman Emeritus of Leading Edge, Joseph Carfagna Sr., started in business aviation in 1967 after he was recruited by Bill Lear to sell new airplanes in the Northeast. This lead to a lifelong career and passion for aviation, with the creation of Executive Air Fleet (EAF) in 1970 and eventually Wings Aviation International in 1989. After 15 years as Wings Aviation International with 275 aircraft transactions completed, Leading Edge Aviation Solutions was formed and as they say, the rest is history. Our longevity in this industry is no accident.

Although Leading Edge may not be the largest brokerage firm in the industry, our experience and dedication to our clients has an unmatched reputation for adhering to the highest levels of ethical standards. We are always striving for complete client satisfaction every transaction, every time. This is why we are proud to be celebrating our significant milestone of 1,000 turbine aircraft transactions completed since 1989. We are very proud of the fact that our clients are the best sales team anyone could ask for as many of these 1000 transactions have been with repeat clients.  Numbers 998, 999 and 1000 below represent three of those repeat clients for us with multiple acquisitions and dispositions performed over the years. Thanks you to all of you who have helped us reach this milestone that very, very few firms can claim to have completed.

The 998th Transaction: Gulfstream G450 s/n 4351

We marked our 998th turbine aircraft transaction since 1989 with the sale of a Gulfstream G450 s/n 4351 earlier this spring, underscoring our expertise and dedication to the industry.

We have a rich history dealing with Gulfstream aircraft. By the time we concluded the 998th deal, we have accomplished 240 completed Gulfstream transactions.  We helped this client purchase this airplane several years ago and subsequently assisted them with buying a replacement aircraft that was brand new from the factory.

The 999th Transaction: Gulfstream G450 s/n 4058

The sale of Gulfstream G450 s/n 4058 marked another significant milestone for us — our 999th turbine aircraft transaction. This is another step in our steady march towards our goal of 1,000, a testament to our unwavering commitment to providing the best service in business aviation.

By the close of this transaction, we have completed 241 Gulfstream transactions since our journey began in 1989. This particular client has been with us through three aircraft transactions and they are now flying in a new generation Gulfstream.

The 1,000th Transaction: Gulfstream G450 s/n 4042

We are delighted to share this milestone with you – our 1,000th turbine aircraft transaction! Our long time client trusted us with the acquisition of this aircraft, and we are honored to have reached 1,000 on a product we are so familiar with. Once again, we assisted this client more than once with their aircraft transactions.

It was very heartwarming to reach this milestone with these three clients in particular.

  • 225 Cessna Citations
  • 131 Hawkers
  • 52 Learjets
  • 46 Turboprops
  • 57 “Others”. We have been around for a while so “others” includes helicopters of many varieties and airplanes like Westwinds, Sabreliners, Astras and Jetstars as well as a few other similar “blasters from the past” no pun intended.

The journey to 1,000 transactions has been marked by the dedication, hard work, and a deep passion for the aviation industry by our committed team past and present….but also by our satisfied clients and industry associates who endorse us.  We wear this like a badge of honor. As we celebrate this significant milestone, we want to express our gratitude to everyone who has been part of this incredible journey.

As we look forward to our next 1,000, we remain committed to providing exceptional service to our clients and industry associates. We truly believe that success is not measured by “more is better,” but can be defined as “being better is better.” Our experience, coupled with our dedication to customer satisfaction, makes us a trusted partner in business aviation.

A few years ago when we celebrated 50 years in the industry, we decorated our main office with some colorful vintage aircraft advertisements so every day we can remind ourselves of our longevity and rich history to those who visit.  It’s a bit amusing to look at these old advertisements and see how they say things so similar to what OEM’s still say today. “Faster, more economical, quieter, further range and the best reliability.” They all still fight over the same things but wow have they refined what they build with incredible new technology.
